Terms of Service

By creating an account or using the Tether app (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Tether is a contact management tool that helps you track and organize relationship data using a structured relationship-building framework. The Service includes contact profiles, calendar integration, email composition, AI-assisted insights, two-factor authentication, automated physical mail delivery, contact importing, holiday integration, and related features.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. If you enable two-factor authentication or an app passcode, you are responsible for maintaining access to your authenticator device and recovery methods. You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you enter.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

• Enter false, misleading, or inaccurate contact information.

• Violate the privacy or rights of any person whose information you store.

• Attempt to access another user's data or disrupt the Service.

• Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or unsolicited communications.

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.

• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service.

• Share your account credentials with others.

You retain ownership of all contact data and content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a license to host, store, and process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store and use the information you enter, including compliance with applicable data protection laws.

The Service uses AI to generate suggestions, insights, and drafts. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and may be inaccurate or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before acting on it or sharing it with others. We are not liable for any consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

The Service integrates with Google Calendar, Gmail, and Lob (for physical mail delivery). These integrations are subject to the terms of service and privacy policies of the respective providers. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party services, including mail delivery delays or failures by Lob. Disconnecting a third-party service may affect related features.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The Service may offer free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for subscription fees. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice.

You may delete your account at any time through Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from Your Content or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.

The Service, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by Tether and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our permission.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
